In Hyogo Japan the police have seized cryptocurrencies from a 59-year-old man for his unpaid parking tickets. Kobe Shimbun reported that about 5,000 yen or about $44 dollars was seized as payment for his numerous unpaid traffic tickets. It is the first time in Japan that cryptocurrencies are used to collect unpaid traffic tickets.

But its not a step against cryptocurrencies. The Hyogo Police have stepped up their efforts in collecting unpaid traffics tickets, now everything from golf bags, to computers are considered assets and are seized to pay for delinquent tickets.

Seems in Japan it’s better to just pay your parking ticket, smarter then losing your Bitcoin.
